Accounts Payable Clerk

We're a close-knit team that enjoys working with each other in an entrepreneurial environment.  We have an immediate opening for an Accounts Payable Clerk with strong figure aptitude and organizational skills.  This position will report to the Senior Accountant.  If you are a problem solver who can work independently, meet deadlines and possesses strong follow up skills, we are interested in speaking with you regarding joining our team.  This position will perform various accounting, clerical and payroll tasks.  

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintenance of accounts payable, will process up to 60 weekly payments to vendors, suppliers,
    utility companies etc.
  • Process reconciliation of vendor accounts
  • Maintenance of check register
  • Check processing
  • Maintain accounting ledgers by posting monthly account transactions.  
  • Responsibilities include reviewing and matching invoices with purchase orders and delivery receipts, data entry, and processing for payment.
  • Check for proper approvals and account coding.
  • Process supplier invoices with receivers and investigate discrepancies
  • Maintaining accounts payable files
  • Assist in monthly closing
  • Communicate information to supervisors, co-workers by telephone, in written form, E-mail or in person.
  • Will run Company errands
  • Perform other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of related Accounts Payable experience.
  • Must be organized, extremely detail oriented and able to work well under pressure.
  • Possess the ability to manage time efficiently.
  • Excellent general math skills and proficient written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Computer literate, experience with Excel, and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Navision is preferred.
  • Ability to drive a vehicle; must have valid California driver’s license.

System Integration Engineer

Photo-Sonics, Inc. is seeking a top-notch System Integration Engineer to join our team.  We’re an international Leader in state-of-the art optical-instrumentation in Chatsworth and have an immediate opening for a System Integration Engineer.  We’re seeking a multi-disciplinary candidate who is self-motivated and is able to set and meet goals.  The company is seeking an analytical, flexible and organized leader who can not only work as part of a dynamic team that specializes in developing state-of the art test range instrumentation but also be responsible for day to day monitoring and control of projects.

The System Integration Engineer will oversee the integration of electro-mechanical and optical systems.  The individual will provide systems engineering support to program teams.  This hands-on position will facilitate compliance of design and manufacturing with capability requirements through all phases of the project, from initial concept design through systems analysis/engineering, planning, execution and testing. Candidate will be responsible for interfacing between the design team and the production team and will ensure that the product meets or exceeds the user and quality requirements. 
Responsibilities include:

  • Perform mathematical analysis of optical tracking system performance.
  • Support new product development and ongoing programs.
  • Review customer requirement documents, interface with customers to validate understanding of requirements and support technical proposal activities. 
  • Communicate design requirements to Engineering group.
  • Work closely with Chief Systems Architect as well as with program team to define system concept, develop system performance models and flow down system requirements to sub-systems; manage and document system configurations.
  • Develop specifications, technical budget and verification matrixes.
  • Integrate and test the hardware and software elements of our optical tracking mount systems, including commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components.
    • Integration and testing occurs on-site both at Photo-Sonics and at various customer locations throughout the United States.
    • Duration of travel requirements can range from days to weeks.
    • International travel may be required, on occasion.
  • Develop and complete system specifications, test procedures, technical reports and analysis and oversee all transitions into production.    
  • Update Photo-Sonics’ proprietary Argus software.
  • Develop and execute system electrical and software test plans for product releases.

Requirements:

  • Qualified candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years related experience and a technical degree (BS, MS, PhD) in Engineering, Math, Computer Science or related field. 
  • A combination of applied mathematical experience and technical skills are necessary for this position, including background and work experience in design optimization using matrices, coordinate transformations, algebra, and solid geometry modeling.
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python, or MATLAB.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to handle priorities, write proposals, technical reports, define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and meet internal deliverables, schedules and deadlines.  
  • Candidate must possess excellent reasoning, communication and interpersonal skills to interact with multiple departments and customers. 
  • Individual must have knowledge and experience in the application and adaptation of COTS products to meet government system requirements.  
  • Candidate must be able to obtain security clearance. 
  • Position requires domestic and international traveling. 
  • System Integration Engineer will support periodic field-testing at customer sites for extended periods of time.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working on government military program contracts.  Prefer experience in servo control methods, electro optical system performance modeling, design and testing; as well as procuring, integrating and analyzing visible and infrared focal planes or detectors.  Strong skills in mathematical algorithm design with experience in the use of design tools such as MATLAB, Scilab or similar and able to perform complex mathematical and engineering calculation is desirable. Knowledge of Image Systems’ TrackEye software; fiber optics; cameras and lenses; and designing and planning architecture for network communications systems, including familiarity with video interfacing systems, 4K video projector systems, TACLANE Encryptors, and other communication devices are beneficial but training is provided as required.

CNC Mill Machinist

The ideal candidate will have experience with editing CNC programs, conducting set ups and running conventional Mill & Lathe.  The CNC mill machinist must be able to work with close tolerance and have own hand tools.  Preferred candidate will have experience with Fadal.   

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Plans and manufactures components by reviewing blueprints, materials,   specifications, drawings, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
  • Design and machine precision tooling and fixtures for jobs.
  • Perform daily maintenance on machines and cleanup of general work areas.
  • Interface with Engineering relating to prototype parts.
  • Maintain a neat and organized workstation as per health and safety standards.
  • Perform in-process inspections of production parts to maintain and ensure dimensional accuracy. All work must be recorded on machine shop travelers.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years minimum experience as a CNC Mill machinist
  • Proficient in the use of CNC machinery operations, set-up tooling, fixtures, measuring equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and work from process sheets.
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements relating to CNC operations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and follow written and verbal instructions.  Must be able to interact productively and professionally with individual engineers, department managers, machine operators and other production personnel.
  • Knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
  • Ability to use standard shop tools and gauges.
  • Ability to read blueprints or work to verbal instructions.
  • Ability to machine and measure 0.0001” or less tolerances.
  • Ability to remain flexible towards changes in scheduled duties on a daily basis.
  • Ability to work on own initiative without constant supervision.
  • Conventional lathe and or hone experience is a plus.

Physical requirements: Position requires ability to frequently stand; walk; use hands and reach with hands and arms. The employee may also be required to lift product or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

Electrical Technician

We're a close-knit team that enjoys working with each other in an entrepreneurial environment.  As a key member of our special team, you won’t feel as if you’re nothing more than a minor cog in the wheel of a large organization.  We are located in the Chatsworth area and have an immediate opening for an Electrical Technician to join our team.   This position may be temporary to hire.

The Electrical Technician performs various assemblies, subassemblies, inspection, testing of prototypes, Tracking Mounts components, and other technical equipment.   The Electrical technician will test, and adjust completed unit to ensure that unit meets specifications, tolerances and customer order requirements. The Electrical Technician must have strong Electronics experience,  JSTE/ICP certified is preferred.   Other duties include but not limited to the following:

  • Install and maintain electrical control systems and equipment, and modify electrical prototypes, parts, and assemblies to correct problems.
  • Assemble, test, calibrate and maintain circuitry or electronic components according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronics.
  • Determines specifications by reading schematics, blueprints, specifications and other documents. 
  • Aligns parts, using fixtures, jigs and templates.
  • Connects and installs electrical wiring and harnesses.          
  • Measures parts to determine tolerances using precision measuring instruments such as oscilloscope, multimeter, vector scope, noise meter, etc.
  • Sets up, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs custom-designed manufacturing and test equipment.
  • Hand soldering components onto PCBs (printed circuit boards)
  • Solder electronic components to the JSTD and IPC industry standards.
  • Understand interfacing motor servo controls
  • Troubleshoot at component level
  • Inspect designs for quality control, report findings, and make recommendations.
  • Visually check work in process for solder defects and make adjustments as required.
  • Clean printed circuit boards and equipment as necessary.
  • Follow all Company Safety and ESD Program requirements.
  • Comply with ITAR/EAR.
  • Comply with AS9100.
  • Perform other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Requirements

  • Pref JSTD / IPC certified
  • High degree of electro-mechanical skills and analytic ability.
  • Understand electro mechanical concepts
  • Position requires minimum 5 years’ related electrical technician experience nts.
  • Able to work with high voltage
  • Familiar with Institute for Printed Circuit (IPC) standards for correct soldering and rework methods, including soldering fine pitch surface mount technology (SMT) and through hole components.
  • Must be able to read schematics, blueprints, complex assembly drawings, diagrams, instructions specifications and other documents (BOMs, etc.).
  • Must be familiar with both surface mount and thru hole soldering techniques
  • Experience using crimpers, calipers & micrometers
  • Detail Oriented
  • Good communication skills, ability to interface effectively with all levels of personnel
  • Flexible to work in different environments (rain, cold weather, etc.)
  • Physical Requirements of this position requires ability to walk, sit, climb, see, stand, and repetitive motion of hands, reaching, pulling heavy cables, heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
