| The Series 3000 35mm-4ML camera is the rugged digital offspring of the time-tested and field-proven 4ML—the best selling 35mm high speed camera of all time. Originally designed as an airborne camera to document strike effectiveness, the 4ML has a flawless 30-year performance record in flight test, missile launch, biomechanics and other military and commercial applications. Exceptionally reliable and versatile, the 4ML is capable of 10 to 200 frames per second high speed motion picture photography with interchangeable 200’, 400’ and 1000’ quick-change magazines and phase-lock digital electronic control.The new digital, phase-lock electronic servo utilizes a 16-bit microprocessor, programmable logic array, and the latest surface mount technology and custom flex circuitry for reliable operation in the most severe environments. A high accuracy, temperature-compensated crystal assures a precise frame rate. Multiple 4MLs can be synchronized by referencing the shutter of each camera to a precise time marker. The servo synchronizes the midpoint of the camera shutter opening to IRIG-B or the leading edge of a reference frequency. The 4ML’s advanced camera controls allow the operator to shift the camera shutter in 1° increments from 0° to 359°, allowing multiple cameras to provide continuous or overlapping coverage of an event. Variable shutter can be externally
adjusted quickly and easily with no tools; no re-timing of
camera required. Interchangeable motor, power amplifier
and phase lock electronics Out-of-film indicator. Contact closure
to 28V DC return when magazine is out of film. Plug-in AC or DC amplifier. DC power
amplifier has unique reverse polarity protection. Ready and Phase lock indictor and TTL
level output allows remote monitoring of the camera status.
Camera can be converted from AC to DC
by changing the motor and power amplifier. Digital Phase Lock Speed Control
requires no calibration.
Phase Lock to IRIG-B or an external
reference frequency for simplified data reduction. LED timing light may be easily replaced
